As individuals, our experiences have their sense of time and truth. They are endlessly changed by stories, doubt, interpretation, and imagination. In looking at the symptoms, repetitions, and patterns my goal is to understand what has survived and the potential scenarios that open up to what is not yet visible.

Do we remember it? Do we remember the way it was?
Family pictures are data, records. In a way, their function is to recode events that our own memory is urging us to experience. There is this pleasure of recalling an event and visually absorbing it while simultaneously acknowledging the pain of the loss of what is missing.
